Several celebrities and well-known personalities are set to get married in 2017. While some of these are regular fixtures in Hollywood blockbusters, others lead less glamorous lives as chat show hosts having to endure some of life’s less than courteous individuals. With that in mind, here are five celeb weddings this year that will no doubt be covered by all the major newspapers.
Pippa Middleton and James Matthews
Pippa Middleton became known worldwide when her sister, Kate, wedded Prince William, making her the first commoner to wed British royalty. She will marry her fiancé, businessman James Matthews, on May 20 at St. Mark’s Church in Englefield, Berkshire.
Compared to the royal wedding in 2011, this ceremony is expected to be a low-key affair, with 150 guests expected to attend, according to The Mirror. Prince George and Princess Charlotte, the children of Prince William and Kate, will serve as the page boy and flower girl, respectively.
Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski
Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski made headlines last March when they eloped together. The news came as a surprise to their fans, despite the fact that The People previously reported their engagement last year. The two met when they worked together on the off-Broadway show “The Way We Get By” in 2015, although they became romantically involved one year later when they again collaborated on the film “The Last Word”. The two are now expecting their first child.
Dave Franco and Alison Brie
It seems that March, and not February, was the season of the love bug this year, because Dave Franco, who starred in the two “Now You See Me” films, married his long-time girlfriend Alison Brie in a low-key wedding in that month as well. The couple have known each other for the past six years and dated for three years prior to their wedding.
Jason Statham and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
Action star Jason Statham and model-actor Rosie Huntington-Whiteley announced their engagement at the Golden Globes in 2016. The two have been dating for six years, and live together in Los Angeles. While the two have not announced when the wedding date will be, Wonderwall theorizes that the ceremony will take place this year, although it also said that the ceremony may not be announced until after it is over so the couple can enjoy their privacy.
Huntington-Whiteley recently announced her pregnancy via an Instagram post.
Jeremy Kyle and Vicky Burton
TV host Jeremy Kyle, whose talk show has recently announced a sponsorship deal with online site Slingo Boom, is reportedly planning to propose to Vicky Burton, who worked as the nanny of his children with Carla Germaine. Should this be true, this will be the third marriage for the host, having previously been wed to Kirsty Rowley and Germaine.
It’s only early May, so we’re guaranteed a whole lot more celebrity nuptials still to come this year.
Until next time, happy wedding planning!
