DIY wedding ceremonies

Sometimes, your wedding ceremony venue doesn’t require much additional décor. If you’re getting married in a field of wild flowers, or on a Caribbean beach, adding a lot of additional décor may just create a visual challenge for your wedding photographers and videographers.

Church ceremonies and services performed in a ballroom, or other meeting space environment, require a little more effort to transform into a romantic dream ceremony venue. Décor for churches leans toward a few large flower arrangements, and maybe flowers and ribbons hung from the ends of the pews. Candles are fantastic for an evening ceremony. If you’ve chosen a more generic space in a hotel or other venue, you may need an arch or some pedestals to break up the space, and create a ceremonial feel.

When children are involved (and 40 percent of weddings today involved blended families), involving the children in the ceremony décor can be a fantastic way to help them invest emotionally in the union.
