You can DIY just about anything now, but that doesn’t mean you should. Also, lots of things that look easy on Pinterest aren’t quite as easy to execute as the poster would have had you believe.
Over the years, I’ve worked with numerous clients who wanted to do-it- yourself some large parts of their wedding planning. It was a learning experience for me, as well as for the brides and grooms. Some things were a fabulous success, but others failed miserably, stressed-out my clients, and eventually ended up back in my lap at the very last minute.
DIY wedding invitations, DIY wedding centerpieces, DIY wedding favors, DIY wedding decorations, DIY wedding flowers, and many other details of your wedding can be executed by the wedding couple. The trick is that you shouldn’t take on more responsibility for your wedding than you have time to actually commit. There’s nothing wrong with choosing to DIY only some parts of your wedding.
