Wedding ceremony programs are a tradition that has fallen out of favor with lots of brides, as ceremony plans become more informal, and the size of wedding parties continues to shrink.

If you’re having a formal church wedding, a program may be entirely necessary for your friends of other faiths to follow along with the service, and respond to the officiant when it’s appropriate. It’s also an excellent place to discreetly request your guests refrain from taking pictures with their cell phones and tablets during your wedding ceremony, so that they don’t block the professional photographer’s shots with their own devices.
