It’s going to be gorgeous weather here this weekend – thank goodness. We’d been working on plans for construction of an ark but the Jekyll Island Authority was giving us a hard time about the location. Doesn’t it make sense to build it close to the Sea Turtle Center when you figure we’ll be loading all the turtles and alligators and whatever else they have right there? I’m just sayin’.
So what’s going on this weekend in the Golden Isles?
If you’re in the area, come see me at the St. Simons Welcome Center in the Live Oak Shop – it’s located right across from the big Crafts in the Village art festival that kicks off this weekend. It’s a great opportunity to get some holiday shopping done. I’ll be heading over there with my list after I’m done, but I’ll be signing books from my Gem of the Golden Isles series from 10-2 on Saturday, Sept. 21st.
Books make an excellent Christmas or Hannukah present! Especially if you have somebody on your list who loves Jekyll Island or St. Simons Island. I’m happy to write dedications and holiday messages to the recipients for you. And if you’ve read my books, come tell me what you think about them – I LOVE to meet my readers.
If you’re busy this weekend and can’t make it, I’ll be signing books at the Goodyear Cottage in the historic district of Jekyll Island on Saturday, October 26th during the Shrimp & Grits Festival. Come visit me then and do some shopping – everything in Goodyear was created by a local artist! And you get to see inside one of the famous millionaires’ cottages at the same time.
I’m excited to be meeting with one of the books clubs here on Jekyll Island in October – if you have a book club or a book shop that would like to do a signing or a talk, just let me know! If you’re within driving distance, I’d love to come sign some books and talk about the next books in my series. Book Four is in the works. Just email me at sandy@sandymalone.com and I’ll check my calendar.
Until next time, happy reading!
Sandy
