This was an absolutely incredible and cozy romantic read. The Author does an incredible job of developing dynamic characters readers can instantly relate to. The rich imagery in the author’s writing style really brings out this island setting in the south and engages the reader by making the setting its own character, allowing the reader to feel fully immersed in the community. The protagonist finds herself becoming a part of.

The story immediately draws readers in with vivid descriptions of coastal landscapes, ocean views, marsh air, and the island’s unique charm. The opening chapters introduce Tally, a protagonist returning home after the devastation of Hurricane Maria, and her journey feels deeply personal and relatable. Tally’s return to Jekyll Island is not simply a physical journey but also an internal one, as she grapples with heartbreak, trauma, and the uncertainty of her future. The author uses the storm’s aftermath as both a literal and symbolic force, representing the chaos that has disrupted Tally’s life. The supporting characters and the close-knit island community add warmth to the narrative.

Book Two had many emotions for me. I found the storyline to be very funny describing her clients and their unique needs. Being a 'blue' family parts of the story was very raw .... but honest. I enjoyed Tally's adventures and can't wait to read more in book three!! A great summer at the pool, reading adventure.
